Making the most of hydrogen
At HyAxiom, we’re always looking for opportunities to use hydrogen that would have been otherwise underutilized, specifically in petrochemical complexes and oil refineries, which use natural gas as their primary energy source.
At the Hanwha Total Petrochemical complex in South Korea, we installed 114 hydrogen fuel cells, all fueled by the excess hydrogen created by the plant. Known as the Daeson Green Energy project, this solution has been providing around 400 gigawatt hours of energy annually – enough to power roughly 40,00 U.S. homes. All clean power, no emissions.
Unlimited potential
HyAxiom is helping Bakersfield, California’s Kern Energy reduce its carbon footprint and improve efficiency with the installation of seven hydrogen-powered fuel cells. Expected to come online in 2027, this is a first-in-kind project that will reclaim, store, and utilize co-produced hydrogen.
