Starting off on the right foot
At the supplier level, HyAxiom focuses on material traceability and impact awareness, logistics emissions, supplier engagement, and upstream sustainability through environmental considerations in material sourcing and logistics. We think things through before we even start.
Focused on our footprint
During the manufacturing phase, we prioritize reducing environmental impact, enhancing workplace safety, and embedding governance practices into operational systems. For example, our South Windsor facility has implemented energy consumption tracking and waste segregation practices that monitor recycling rates and hazardous waste handling to improve sustainability performance. If there’s a better way, we’ll find it.
Three R’s for a brighter future
When a product’s life cycle has run its course, we minimize environmental impact and extend the value of materials and components through a simple but powerful framework:
Reclaim
Through ongoing assessments, we identify high – value materials – particularly platinum – in used components and recover them along with any other parts that can be reclaimed. These efforts are scalable to accommodate the needs of the recovery project.
Recycle
Key materials are targeted for recycling. Metals, plastics, batteries, oil, and Graphite, a core material in CSA (cell stack assemblies), are priorities in our ever-increasing recycling efforts.
Reuse
Components from end-of-life units are reviewed and refurbished whenever possible to reduce waste and conserve resources while maintaining product performance.
